Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is she is a Mexican American reporter. She works as an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bi-lingual since the age of nine. Her skills were instrumental in helping her get her first job as a production assistant for Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. It was the CBS station located in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become a sports reporter. She moved in Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. She covered stories about immigration and drug trafficking within both Texas and Mexico. Anchor duties for sports or weather were frequent requests. She was then the anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given higher responsibilities. She did pieces on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also had her own local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she was the anchor. She became a sports host for the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. She also served as anchor of the sports segment for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. The family moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. There is also a sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to go to the US and was settled in Miami. The couple divorced shortly after in 1995. Her mother was remarried to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. Her residence was in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, which was the time she received an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior in high school who had a vision of how she wanted her future to look like, came to Mount Union University to see if the school suited her. It turned out that she loved the school and they offered the course she was looking for. After completing her high school studies, she was accepted into the university to study media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the managing director at WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a part. Professor Mark Bergmann influenced her by his passion in journalism. The professor also had a profound impact on her.
